SUSAN J. MONTGOMERY MCDONALD
SUSAN J. MONTGOMERY MCDONALD has been with the firm since 2003. She is a graduate of Muskingum College (B.A., Public Affairs and Speech Communication, 1996) and Capital University School of Law (J.D., 2002). She was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 2002 and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
She is a member of the Muskingum County and Ohio State Bar Associations. Her major practice areas include Estates and Estate Planning, Agricultural Law, Family Law and General Practice.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as the director of environment and health care policy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives in Columbus, and a Legislative Service Commission intern.
She is a member of the Muskingum County Community Foundation Board of Directors, Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, Convention & Visitors Bureau, Eastside Community Ministry Board of Directors, Muskingum County Republican Club, Muskingum County Young Republicans, Muskingum County Farm Bureau, Muskingum County Cattlemen’s Association, Muskingum County United Way Advisory Board, Ark Spring Baptist Church, and is a 4-H volunteer.
Susan was born in Zanesville and is married to James A. McDonald. They live on the family farm. He owns and operates McDonald's Greenhouse, Ltd. They have two sons, Jack and Eli.
